Inviting foreigners living in Latvia to interest and together-creating events in Rezekne

2020.07.27

In order to promote the inclusion of foreign nationals living in Latvia in the society, the third-country nationals and representatives of the local community are welcome to joint interest and creation events in Latgale - Rezekne, as part of the project “Integration ABC – 3”. At the end of July and in August, a series of events are expected in the events cycle “Meeting at a Tea Cup”, introducing the culture and traditions of Latvians and other nations, along with the folklore friends` group “Vīteri” and its leader Sandra Stare.

During the events, the special attention will be paid particularly to tea - a drink used worldwide. However, different nations have both, similar and different tea-drinking traditions and customs. The visitors will have the opportunity to investigate the habits and traditions of some nations on 5 tea afternoons – both, in tea making and drinking, and in values characterising the culture. There will be a narration at each meeting, practical lessons will follow, and joint singing and playing of games.

Programme of the “Let`s meet at a Cup of Tea” cycle:
