In order to ensure epidemiologically safe use of public transport, from May 12 passengers must use mouth and nose protection (a respirator, a mask, a scarf or a shawl) in a public transport or train.
It is the carrier`s duty to inform passengers about the requirement to use mouth and nose protection.
At the same time, passengers are encouraged to use public transport when truly necessary, select trip times when there are less passengers, to keep 2-metre distance as much as possible and occupy those seats first, which are located alternately or leaving empty the seats close those which are occupied.
Local governments of Latvian cities may set additional conditions for the use of public transport, including establish measures for control of the use of mouth and nose protection.
It is important to remember that as restrictions reduce, personal responsibility of each person increases.
