As part of the project a mobile application "First Steps in Latvia" has been developed to ensure availability of information about the life in Latvia to the target group. A free download of the test version of the application is available at Google Play and App Store. To make it easier for the target group of the project to find answers to frequently asked questions about the life in Latvia, information from the questions and answers section published on www.beglis.lv website is included in the mobile application. The application is available in Latvian, English, French, Arabic and Dari.

Attention, please! Notice of the Information Centre for Newcomers on changes in customer service
Taking into account the decision made on March 12 by the Crisis Management Council of the Latvian government on declaration of emergency situation due to global situation caused by Covid-19 and the possible risks in Latvia, Information Centre for Newcomers suspends customer service in person for the period from March 13 until April 14.
During the mentioned period, consultations will be available only by phone and electronically:
ICN began its work as a one-stop-agency on 18 May 2016. ICN Riga office operates as a coordinating centre in Latvia. It provides assistance in dealing with problems of a particular customer and supports the ICN focal points/branches in the regions (in Cesis, Jelgava, Liepaja and Daugavpils) with regard to provision of services, ensures professional support to service providers in all municipalities in Latvia, coordinates awareness and availability of services to various groups of immigrants.
The activity of the Information Centre for Newcomers within the framework of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund is ensured and developed by the NGO “Shelter “Safe House””. The centre is co-funded by the European Union. Grant Agreement No. PMIF/12/2017/2/01.
