The Information Centre for Newcomers (ICN) hereby informs that Doors Open Days will be organised in all regions of Latvia during the World Refugee Week. The visitors will be able to obtain information on the activities of the ICN, to spend time together in the moods of Midsummer Eve, to meet each other in informal environment, as well as to participate in various activities, for instance, quizzes and workshops. They will also be able to review the achievements of ICN made over the last years in a photo exhibition.
At the same time, within the framework of the Doors Open Days, informative video clips will be posted on social media, reflecting the stories of refugees on their life in Latvia, their experiences, the difficulties they have encountered and the aspects that attract them to Latvia.

The Information Centre for Newcomers operates as a one-stop agency in Riga and four regional centres of Latvia – in Daugavpils, Jelgava, Cēsis and Liepāja – providing wide-ranging support services free of charge to foreign citizens, as well as service providers and specialists of various industries who work with this target group, including businesses.
The activity of the Information Centre for Newcomers within the framework of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund is ensured and developed by the NGO “Shelter “Safe House””. The centre is co-funded by the European Union. Grant Agreement No. PMIF/12/2017/2/01.
